Gamma Cameras, or Gamma-Ray Imaging Spectrometer, can take gamma-ray pictures and merge them with normal images hence visualizing the activity distribution in an area. They are used to locate and identify radioactivity and of course mapping the contamination. Other applications for Gamma-Ray Imaging Spectrometers are emergency situation, security issues and of course decommissioning.
