Spectroscopic system for directly measuring radioactive content in drinking water in real-time on an existing water stream. A turnkey solution for drinking water producers who want to measure their drinking water without manual sampling. The system is permanently installed and consists of a lead-lined chamber that encloses an existing water stream, integrated with an NaI detector and data acquisition electronics for radiological analysis. The instrument can help water producers ensure that their water sources are not affected by radiological fallout in the event of a nuclear incident.

The system can be equipped with various types of detector technologies:

• Scintillating detectors such as NaI and LaBr
• Semiconductor detectors such as CZT and HPGe for monitoring more complex isotope compositions
