The BeOSL whole body dosimeter is available with two or four detectors. The 4-detector variant uses one detector for Hp(10) with a Teflon filter, one for Hp(0.07) with a thin plastic filter, and two detectors are filtered with copper and lead, respectively, which provide information about the energy. This means that the algorithm can deliver better accuracy and clearer information about the radiation quality compared to other dosimeters.
