Germanium HPGe
HPGe Germanium-ilmaisimet ovat puolijohteita PIN diodilla, joissa intrinsinen i-alue on herkkä gammasäteilylle. Fotonin vuorovaikuttaessa ilmaisimen kanssa p- ja n-alueiden välille syntyy varauksenkuljettajia. Fotonin luovuttamaan energiaan verrannollinen sähkövirta aiheuttaa jännitepulssin, joka voidaan vahvistaa ja mitata.
HPGe Germanium-ilmaisimella saavutetaan energiaresoluutio, johon ei päästä muilla materiaaleilla. Lisäksi niitä voidaan valmistaa useisiin eri sovellutuksiin kelpaaviksi. Me myymme perusilmaisimesta kahdeksaa eri tyyppiä ja 165 variaatiota, joilla kaikilla on ainutlaatuisia ominaisuuksia, ja joiden halkaisija vaihtelee 8 mm:stä 92 mm:in saakka. Ilmaisin voi olla p- tai n-tyyppiä riippuen kumminpäin kontaktit ovat sijoitettu kristallissa.
Germanium-ilmaisin jäähdytetään nestemäisellä typellä, sähköisesti (Cryo-Pulse) tai niin kutsutulla hybriditekniikalla (iCC).
