LB 790 – 10 channel Low-Level Alpha/Beta Planchet Counter

Low level activity meter with 10 channels for measuring of alpha and beta emitting isotopes with low detection limits. With the LB 790, 12 mBq for alpha (Am-241) and 22 mBq for beta (Sr-90) are achieved. Service-friendly. Possible to remove detector pairs without completely dismantling the top lead screen. Exchange of window pairs in pairs can be done while the system is in operation. Radon suppression through unique probe sealing mechanism (patent pending) The detector consists of 5 modular double detector segments and a common guard counter tube for P-10 or Ar-CO² counting gas operation.

The low-level system is available in different configurations.

LB 790: Up to 10 samples can be measured simultaneously, and the associated sample information can be easily entered before the measurement with the associated PC software, AMS, and evaluated after the measurement.
LB 790-5L: 5 individual chambers for two samples each. Depending on the sample handling and sample type, the number of sample positions belonging to a measurement series can be varied and changed as required. With the LB 790-5L system, each of the five chambers can be loaded individually, so that up to five different sample measurements can be carried out independently of each other.
LB 790-3L: As LB 790 fixed with 6 test cups.
