Successful installation of ULB HPGe-system at Livsmedelsverket!
Gammadata has recently delivered and commissioned an Ultra Low Background (ULB) gamma spectroscopy system at Livsmedelsverket, Uppsala. The system was delivered with our largest broad energy detector (BE6530), to allow for maximum counting efficiency for various geometries and minimize MDA values all the way down to 3keV.
The lead shield (DuAl GmbH) was equipped with the newly developed AutoLid™ feature, enabling automatic opening and closing of the lid.
The system was installed with the Apex-Gamma 1.5.1 gamma spectroscopy software suite, combined with a customized script package for automatic import of sample data from a separate LIMS system.
The system will be used to strengthen the measurement and analysis capability regarding radioactive substances in food and drinking water at Livsmedelsverket.
