  • Mono-energetic electrons

Conversion Electron Sources can be used for calibration of solid-state detector and beta spectrometers. The sources are prepared by electrodeposition or evaporation of the radionuclide as a 5 mm spot on very thin mylar, nickel, or platinum surface foil. Surface is protected by a 100-200 μg/cm² acrylic cover. The foils are supported by an aluminum ring or frame. Contained activity is supplied as a nominal value ±15%.

The conversion electron sources are defined as open sources. The source surface can not be wiped.

Sources are non-calibrated. Calibration and traceabillity available on request.
