2025 – A Year in Review

A year that began in grief – developed into optimism about the future

As 2025 draws to a close, we look back on a year that has held both deep sorrow and important progress. Early in the year, we lost our dear colleague Stefan Isaksson, something that has had a profound and lasting impact on the entire organization. Stefan had been a part of Gammadata since the late 1980s and was greatly appreciated by both colleagues and customers. His commitment, expertise and warmth continue to live on in the company, and we miss him every day.

With this in our hearts, I would like to sum up the year that has passed – a year which, after a very difficult start, has been characterized by a gradual increase in market activity, ongoing development of our offering, and strong engagement from the entire organization.

A stronger second half of 2025

After a cautious start to the year, we have clearly seen a more active market since the summer, which is of course, very encouraging. The uncertainty following the imposition of various tariffs and the threat of new tariffs seems to have subsided somewhat, and the willingness to invest has gradually increased.

During the year, we have continued to develop our aftermarket offering. With the launch of Gammadata 360, we have made both the breadth of our offering and our high ambition to support customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their instruments even more visible.

A particularly pleasing highlight in the autumn was being named “Gazelle of the Year” by the business daily Dagens Industri – a fine acknowledgement of the long-term work and day-to-day commitment contributed by the entire organization.

External environment and trends to watch in 2026

We are living in turbulent times, with unrest in many parts of the world and a global situation that makes the future more difficult to predict than usual. This underlines the importance of being long-term, stable and close to our customers.

The development within AI continues to be very exciting to follow, both in working life and in our private lives. Today, we see how new technology can contribute to better decisions, more efficient ways of working and more reliable measurements.

We are also closely following developments in the energy and pharmaceutical industries, which are both important areas for our business. Polymers and the circular economy continue to develop rapidly, and the current geopolitical situation has also moved defense-related applications higher up on the agenda. Finally, many of us are following the developments around Stegra in my home municipality of Boden with great interest.

Next steps and initiatives in the first half of 2026

We will begin 2026 by strengthening our Nordic presence, as we will now also include Finland in our work with Thermo Scientific products. Our Finnish subsidiary will, going forward, be responsible for sales and support in Finland, allowing us to move even closer to customers in that market.

We now have demo labs in both Uppsala and Helsinki, and our hope is that both will be fully occupied with exciting customer samples during 2026.

In the first half of the year, we will also continue our efforts to further develop and clarify our aftermarket offering in line with Gammadata 360. The goal is to create even greater peace of mind and clear added value for our customers.

In parallel, we are exploring opportunities to complement our product portfolio with additional interesting suppliers, something we hope to be able to share more information about at a later stage.

I would like to conclude by extending a warm thank you to our customers, partners and employees for 2025. Together, we look forward to an exciting and successful 2026.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
