The powerPACK2 is a container for standard batteries. As NiMH batteries self discharge over time, a powerPACK with alkaline batteries is an excellent backup if you need to be ready at a moment’s notice. Please refer to the Identifinder manual for explanation on how to replace powerPACK2 or powerPACK-ultra
