VME powered crates

CAEN’s range of VME powered crates covers both the Enhanced and Low Cost series, providing scalable solutions for different levels of VME systems depending on performance and cost requirements. A Mini Crate series is also available for compact configurations (link to Mini Crate series).

Enhanced series

The CAEN VME8100 and VME8200 are modular VME powered crates with removable and easily replaceable components. The power supply is arranged so that the rear side of the VME backplane is fully accessible, which simplifies integration, cabling and maintenance in demanding VME systems. The VME8100 provides a basic solution for standard VME configurations, while the VME8200 is designed for more demanding applications requiring higher performance and additional features.

Low Cost series

The CAEN VME8011 is a compact and cost‑effective VME powered crate with a VME64‑compliant backplane and power distribution of +5 V @ 60 A, −12 V @ 6 A and +12 V @ 8.9 A. It is suitable for typical VME module configurations with moderate power requirements.
