CSPevo family

The CSPevo family of 100 cm² contamination probes is now complete and is available in the following models:

• AB-100: Alpha, beta
• A-100: Alpha
• B-100/A: Beta optimized for low energy beta
• B-100/B: Beta optimized for alpha discrimination
• ABG-100: Alpha, beta and gamma

CSPevo is a family of probes with improved properties and ergonomics compared to traditional scintillation probes. The detector is mounted with different handle solutions depending on the application and base instrument, for example with or without cable. The detector module can be arbitrarily changed between the different handles. The concept is plug-and-play between detector module, handle and instrument.

At CSPevo, the scintillator’s light readout from the scintillator has been improved with a SiPM instead of a photomultiplier (PMT). This also means several improved properties;

The handle can be made ergonomic instead of being adapted to a photomultiplier.

• Lower minimum detectable activity (MDA)
• Better homogeneous response across the entire detector surface
• The probe becomes less vulnerable to magnetic fields and shocks
• A foil change can be done quickly without waiting hours for the photomultiplier light recovery
• Lower power consumption
