AB-100 – CSPevo

AB-100 is a detector module for alpha and beta in the CSPevo series, which is a family of probes with improved properties and ergonomics compared to traditional scintillation probes. The detector is mounted with different handle solutions depending on the application and base instrument, for example with or without cable. The detector module can be arbitrarily changed between the different handles. The concept is plug-and-play between detector module, handle and instrument.

At CSPevo, the scintillator’s light readout from the scintillator has been improved with a SiPM instead of a photomultiplier (PMT). This also means several improved properties;

The handle can be made ergonomic instead of being adapted to a photomultiplier.

• Better homogeneous response across the entire detector surface
• The probe becomes less vulnerable to magnetic fields and shocks
• A foil change can be done quickly without waiting hours for the photomultiplier light recovery
